We’re Not Waiting for Change — We’re Becoming It.

In the past five months, over 300,000 Black women have lost their jobs. These weren’t just positions on a company roster — they were dreams, careers, and lifelines for families. Federal layoffs and the rollback of DEI programs left countless sisters standing at a door that had once promised opportunity… only to find it closed.

Imagine the woman who worked tirelessly, balancing her career and family, only to see her stability vanish overnight. Or the recent graduate who fought for representation in her workplace, only to feel the harsh reality that the systems in place weren’t designed to protect her. For Black women, unemployment has risen to 6.3%, a number that tells a story of resilience tested, courage challenged, and futures interrupted.

But this is not the end of the story. This is a call to action. While the world may not always open doors for us, we have the power to build our own. To create spaces where our voices are heard, our work is valued, and our ambitions are nurtured.
